A Little About Tanya

Tanya Slattery is a structural body worker and Somatic Experience Practioner (SEP) in Philadelphia. She has always been drawn to working with her hands—she had started adult life as a ceramic artist shifting into bodywork more than 25 years ago, and credits inspiring teachers who gave her a sense of working at the cutting edge of her profession.

Eight years after becoming a structural body worker, she took a ten-day Vipassana meditation retreat which reinforced her interest in mindfulness and continues with this practice to this day Through this training, she realized that one need not have to be seated to meditate, and she sees her work as a meditation practice, now further deepened by her training in SE.

What To Expect

Therapeutic and custom session

I listen to your needs and to what your body is telling me. I respond intuitively to your body.
I approach you as a person, not a session.

Decades of Experience in Many Modalities

I don’t have a one-size-fits-all approach but can reach into my years of therapies and various modalities I’ve learned,
which can offer a rich perspective for many issues you are aware of, and maybe some you aren’t!

Feeling better = Better life

I am curious about your story and how your body is working for you – or not.
Having you become more aware of your story and how’s it been impacting your life – somatically, physical pain,
inability to move forward – that’s my approach, because I know that will make your entire life better!

What Clients Say

Hear from some happy Clients

I've had back pain for as long as I can remember. I've seen Chiropractors and Massage Therapists. I've tried accupuncture and anti-inflammatory medication. The only thing that has consistently had a positive impact is the body work that Tanya does. She's intuitive and persistent - she locates the source of the problem and she works on it until there's improvement.
