Therapies & Modalities

Your Own Body...Healing Itself

I’ve been working in various body therapies and modalities for decades with many kinds of training and experiences. Working with almost any kind of injury you can imagine – from sports injuries to concussions, aging issues to accidents – I’ve seen many levels of trauma from every age.

Truth be told, I really don’t like to use the word… massage. Why? Because unfortunately it’s become synonymous with luxurious treatment – implying, we only deserve to take care of ourselves occasionally as a treat! Our emotional and mental state of mind is directly connected to our physical well-being and this needs attention all the time.

I certainly believe that modern medicines can be advantageous and produce genuine solutions but often they’re overkill or should be the last effort made. Why not start with your own body healing itself? The body is an amazing creation and I believe it can often heal itself if you respect it and get it into alignment from top to bottom, inside and out.

Here are just a few therapies and modalities I turn to:

CranioSacral Therapy is a light-touch approach that can create dramatic improvements in your life and wellness by gently working with the spinal fluids and soft tissues. Reiki is an ancient technique that is used to heal physical and mental trauma through energy therapy. This practice is done by holding hands above or on the body to create a heat wave, allowing the negative energies to loosen their grip and leave the body.

  • Physical pain
  • Sadness

Zero Balancing is a mind-body therapy that recognizes both body structure and energy and how they work together. It is used to clear blocks in energy flow by using point-based touch on bones and joints.

I Don't Like The Word...Massage

…and why I prefer to say “body therapy.”

Body Therapy is about improving your quality of life by looking at your mind, body, and spiritual selves as a whole. Our bodies tell us how they feel – my job is to determine what your body is trying to say.

Our work together is an ongoing process. I listen to your body. I listen to your movements. I listen to you. I will use a combination of the techniques you see above to address your problem areas and figure out how deep your previous experiences go. Together, we’ll work to ease those areas of pain, ultimately resulting in a better mind, body, and spirit.
