There’s a word I’ve never felt fully comfortable with: massage.
While it’s widely understood and used to describe what I do, it doesn’t quite capture the depth or intention behind my work. For many, the word “massage” brings to mind relaxation, pampering, or a surface-level approach to wellness. But that’s not what I’m here for.
That’s why I prefer to say Body Therapy.
Body Therapy is about improving your quality of life by honoring the interconnectedness of your mind, body, and spiritual self. Your body is constantly communicating—my role is to listen closely and translate what it’s trying to say.
Our work together isn’t just about addressing sore muscles or relieving stress for a moment. It’s a deeper, ongoing process. I listen to your body. I observe your movements. And I listen to you. Using a personalized combination of techniques—from deep tissue and myofascial release to craniosacral work and intuitive touch—I respond to what your body is holding onto.
Often, what shows up in the body reflects years of lived experiences—physical patterns, emotional imprints, stress, trauma. My goal is to create a space where we can gently uncover and release those patterns. Together, we’ll work through the areas of tension, restriction, and pain to help restore ease, balance, and connection.
This is why “massage” doesn’t feel right. It doesn’t reflect the transformative, integrative work we’re doing. Body Therapy is about deeper healing, grounded presence, and an intentional path toward feeling more at home in your body.
